  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) Fresh Mint, Minced
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Honey
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Grainy Mustard
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Red Onion, Minced
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Garlic, Minced
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Dried Oregano
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) Salt
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) Pepper

Toppings

  • 4 Burger Buns
  • Green Leaf Lettuce
  • Sliced Red Onion
  • Sliced Tomato
  • Feta Cheese, Grated or Crumbled

Preparation steps
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together egg, breadcrumbs, mint, honey, mustard, red onion, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Add ground pork, and mix until well combined. Shape into four (4) burger patties and place in the fridge for 20 minutes to allow the patties to firm up.
  2. Preheat the BBQ to medium-high heat (400° to 500°F).
  3. Grill the patties over direct heat, with the lid closed, for 2 to 4 minutes per side.
  4. Place each burger on a bun, and top with tzatziki, lettuce, tomato, red onion and feta cheese. Serve immediately.
Note
  • These burgers cook very quickly; do not leave the grill unattended.
  • You can make and form the burgers and freeze them, uncooked, to use at a later date (3-4 months).
  • Tzatziki can be found in most grocery stores, but is very easy to make. Mix together plain Greek yogurt, minced garlic, dill, grated cucumber, lemon juice and salt.

Serve With:

Grilled Greek Potato Wedges, topped with feta and lemon or a pickled cucumber salad.
