Cauliflower–Apple Crumble with Liver Pâté

  • 1 L (4 c.) of cauliflower pieces
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 30 mL (2 tbsp.) of chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper
  • 1 package of duBreton Classic Liver Pâté, sliced
  • 80 mL (⅓ c.) of quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 30 mL (2 tbsp.) of softened butter
  • 80 mL (⅓ cup) of Italian-style bread crumbs
Preparation steps
  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In an oven-safe dish, combine the cauliflower, onion and apple. Sprinkle with parsley and season.
  3. Place the liver pâté slices on top of the cauliflower mixture.
  4. In a bowl, mix the rolled oats, butter and bread crumbs. Spread on top of the liver pâté slices.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes or until the cauliflower is tender and the bread crumb mixture golden and crispy.
  6. Serve with a garden salad or as a side dish.
