  • 1 slice duBreton Bacon
  • 2 oz. Bourbon
  • 1 oz. sugar syrup
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1 egg white
  • Angostura Bitters
Preparation steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place bacon on parchment paper covered rack over small baking sheet. Bake until crispy, about 15 minutes. Crumble the bacon into small pieces; set aside.
  2. Fill a drink shaker with ice; add bourbon, sugar syrup, lime juice and egg white. Add a splash of Angostura bitters; top with lid and shake well.
  3. Pour into stemmed coupe glass and let stand for about 30 seconds for froth to separate to top. Sprinkle bacon crumble over top and serve.
Note

To make sugar syrup, simply bring 1/2 cup (125mL) granulated sugar to boil with 1 cup (250mL) water until sugar is dissolved. Let cool and refrigerate before using.
